  •  The 1981 Topps base set featured 726 cards issued in wax packs, cello packs, rack packs and vending boxes. Subsets include League Leaders, Record Breakers, Post Season, and Team checklist cards. The cards featured a photo with a complementary to the team colors solid border, the players name in the bottom center in a complementary color, and a representation of the team’s hat featuring the team name and player position. Size: 2.5 X 3.5 inches, 6.35 x 8.89 centimeters 

 


  •   The 1982 Topps base set contained 792 cards, 66 more than the previous year. Topps would continue to produce 792 card sets until 1994 (except for the 825 card 1993 set) The cards were issued in wax packs, rack packs, and cello packs. The cards feature a facsimile autograph on the front and have green backs. Subsets included Highlights, League Leaders, All-Stars, Super Action, and Team Leader cards. Size: 2.5 × 3.5 inches.

Topps 1984 Baseball Card specifics


  • The 1984 Topps Base set has a total of 792 baseball cards which were issued in cello packs, wax packs and rack packs and was also available as a complete set. The cards specifics show a player action photo on the front main section, with a square face portrait on the front lower left corner. 1984 Topps included several Subsets such as Highlights, League Leaders, All-Stars, Active Career Leaders, Team Leaders, and the usual Checklist cards. The base cards had a white background including a small Topps logo on the front upper-right corner, the team name appears in colored lettering on the front upper left side. the player's name and position appear in colored lettering on the front lower right side opposite the facial portrait on the front lower-left.


Difference between Topps Grocery Rack Packs and Rack Packs

 

Occasionally the outer cellophane on a Grocery pack might get a small tear or some other form of mild damage in which case in can no longer be sold as an "unopened" Grocery Rack Pack. Fortunately, Topps Manufactured Grocery Rack Packs with 3 separate cello packs inside with 12 cards in each. Grocery cello packs are wrapped in the same fashion as a regular Topps cello packs, but without the writing, price and any other pictures or written information which all was contained on the outer grocery sleeve.

For anyone who might be unaware, the differences between a Regular Topps Rack Pack and Topps Grocery Rack Pack are explained below:

Topps Grocery Rack Pack: A grocery rack pack is one long strip of cellophane with one 8 x 3.1/2-inch compartment. This Compartment contains three tightly wrapped cello packs with 12 cards and a stick of gum in each.

Topps Regular Rack Pack: A Regular rack pack is a strip of cellophane which is separated into 3 different compartments. Each compartment usually contains 15 cards, or the equivalent of that seasons wax pack and a stick of gum.
